Hello, dear readers! It’s been quite a while since we’ve connected, and I apologize (a sorry, not sorry kind of apology) for that. I took a much needed rest following the release of my memoir. Well, maybe not a total rest, as I am in the editing phase of the next book in the GOTR family, Bride or Bust: Wife Wisdom from the Girl on the Right.
I had such a great time writing this book! It is much lighter than my last work, Girl on the Right: Memoir of a Life Upside Down. This collection of anecdotes and lessons learned as a result of numerous missteps as a two-time wife (not to be confused with a two-timing wife) will provide more than a few belly laughs and head shakes. You’ll find this book an easy read, much like the last, which I know you’ll appreciate.
We are aiming for an early 2018 release date, and will open pre-orders just in time for Christmas (wink, wink). There will be book signings and readings scheduled during spring and summer, and I will be sure to update you via my official Twitter and Facebook pages as to dates and locations. Meeting readers and sharing my work is incredibly rewarding, and what I consider a perfect day.
Aside from Bride or Bust, I’ve been banging out my first fiction novel called Daddy’s First. Nonfiction is my passion, but this fiction world is stretching me in my craft. My fiction, I’m certain, will always be rooted in truth, I suspect. I find myself drawing from my relationship with my father, but that is a topic for another post.
